MIT Divest Filed a Legal Complaint

On February 16, 2022, MIT Divest filed a legal complaint with the Massachusetts Attorney General urging an investigation into MIT’s fossil fuel investments. This move was part of a coordinated action with student-led divestment organizations at Yale, Princeton, Vanderbilt, and Stanford. These complaints were prepared with the assistance of attorneys from the Climate Defense Project.
